Children's coaching - Spring 2023
Class times and age groups
The Spring 2023 coaching programme will start on Sunday 23 April and will run for seven Sunday afternoons finishing on Sunday 11 June with a half-term break on Sunday 21 May. If classes need to be cancelled/ postponed due to bad weather, this will be notified on the day by text/ email.
Lessons will be on Sunday afternoons, grouped into ages with some flexibility possible based on ability. Classes for those aged 3 to 4yrs will be 30 minutes and for all other age groups will be an hour. Exact groupings and timings of the classes will be confirmed once numbers are known. The intention is that afternoons will start for the 3 to 4 year olds at 1.00pm and finish up with 16 to 17 year olds at 5.30 - 6.30pm. Where possible siblings will be grouped in consecutive classes to save families hanging around.
Cost
As long as there is a full uptake, the cost will be £59.50 for the 7 lessons (£8.50 per lesson) except for the 3-4 yrs olds for whom the cost will be £29.75 for the 7 lessons (£4.25 per lesson). Membership of Warriston Community Tennis Club is required (details at www.wct.club/membership). Payment for classes must be made in advance and your child's place will not be confirmed until payment is made (please do not turn up on the day without confirmation). Allocation of places is on a “first come, first served” basis, so an early response is recommended. If you are interested in your child participating, please contact Richard Smith (rmpsmith6@gmail.com) by Sunday 2 April.
